The Big Gig
The coach journey to The Big Gig was an experience in itself. Before we had even entered the electrifying atmosphere of the event I felt like I had experienced the hyperactiveness of my friends to last me a lifetime. It had taken us an elongated hour of our lives to reach our destination and we were already overcome with fatigue. The journey had consisted of loud, out-of-tune singing, many a Snapchat filter, and dabbing to Jess Glyne. We had also managed to get neon face paint on everyone’s faces. That was a skill in itself.
When we had arrived (sort of) at Wembley Arena, we had seen some singers recording a video. At the time we were unaware of the fact that these singers were to be performing to us at Wembley Arena. They were Mic Lowry. When we saw them on the stage me and friends broke down. We couldn’t believe it.
Unfortunately, we had arrived slightly late, missing an act, Fleur East; yet it was to be expected because us being late was like a getting a present you had already picked out. Even though we had missed the first act we had connected to the wifi and all was well.
When we had entered Wembley Arena it was pitch black, and enveloped in noise. Guides, older Brownies, members of The Senior Section, and Leaders filled the seats to the brim with their light-up gadgets and their neon clothing. To see that many Girlguiding units was kind of surreal and very interesting.
When we had left the stadium, we felt enveloped in the positive energy surrounding us… but also due to the fact BeyoncĂ© was performing right next to us.
